DRISCOLL ANNOUNCES NEW WOMEN’S CENTER SPECIALIZING IN
OBSTETRICAL & GYNECOLOGICAL CARE
Driscoll Children’s Hospital now
caring for women and babies - before and
after deliver – with new OB/GYN services in conjunction with
Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, genetics counseling, and breastfeeding
support.
(Corpus Christi, TX) Driscoll Children’s
Hospital is proud to announce the opening of Driscoll Women’s
Center, a full-time clinic offering obstetrical care for expectant
mothers specializing in normal and high-risk pregnancies, prenatal care,
contraception and family planning, well-women care, menopause, gynecological
surgery, as well as gynecological care for women of all ages. Owned and
operated by the hospital,
the center’s obstetricians and gynecologists
will work in close concert with Driscoll
pediatric specialists such as neonatologists, geneticists, and lactation
consultants due to provide a complete circle of care.
“With the opening of the new facility, Driscoll will continue to
better serve the community,” says Rick Merrill, C.E.O. and President
of Driscoll Children’s Hospital. “The Women’s Center
will allow Driscoll Children’s Hospital to offer a more comprehensive
range of services to mothers and children – before and after delivery.
We certainly hope that all South Texas babies will be born healthy, but
if they need specialized pediatric healthcare, the center can help moms
and babies make a seamless transition.”
Six board-certified community obstetricians and gynecologists and numerous
medical support professionals have joined Driscoll Children’s Hospital
and Driscoll Women’s Center including (alpha order):

Dina Eftimescu, M.D., F.R.C.P.S.C.
Dr. Eftimescu graduated from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy
from the University of Bucharest - Facility of Medicine in Bucharest,
Romania and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency
at McMasteer University Medical Center at Hamilton Ontario, Canada.
She also completed additional postgraduate courses in advanced
laparoscopic surgery, advanced colposcopy, microscopical surgery,
endometrial ablation, infertility, plastic surgery and urogynecologic
studies. She is a member of the Nueces Medical Association and
Texas Medical Association.

Sanjay Ramchandani, M.D.
Dr. Ramchandani graduated from University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New
Jersey. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at
Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where
he received several awards for excellence in teaching and research.
He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and
Gynecology.

Driscoll Women’s Center is serving the
Corpus Christi community in three locations including the Southside at
Spohn South Health Plaza at 5920 Saratoga Blvd., Suite #110. All offices are now accepting new patients with
a variety of health plans.
