In addition, Driscoll Women’s Center is poised to offer a more comprehensive full circle of care for moms and babies … before and after they are born. Most babies born in South Texas are healthy, but if they need specialized pediatric attention, the Center can help make a smooth transition accessing this care quickly and efficiently. The Center’s obstetricians and gynecologists work closely with Driscoll’s pediatric specialists and sub-specialists such as neonatologists, surgeons, cardiologists, geneticists, and lactation consultants sharing information and developing tailor-made plans of care.

Dina Eftimescu, MD

Dr. Eftimescu graduated from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy from the University of Bucharest – Facility of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at McMasteer University Medical Center at Hamilton Ontario, Canada. She is experienced in advanced laparoscopic surgery, advanced coloposcopy, microscopical surgery, endometrial ablation, infertility, plastic surgery, and urogynecologic studies.

Roberto Espada, MD, FACOG – Medical Director

Dr. Espada graduated from the University Real and Pontifica of San Francisco Xavier of Chuquisoca in Sucre, Bolivia, and completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and internship at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Ira Murphy, MD, FACOG

Prior to moving to South Texas, Dr. Murphy was in private practice at Kauai Medical Clinic in Lihue, Hawaii. She graduated from the Dr. V.M. Medical College in Solapur, India with a graduate degree in medicine (M.B.B.S.) as well as a degree in medicine. In addition, she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Dr. V.M. Medical College and was Chief Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan.

Dr. Sanjay Ramchandani, MD

Dr. Ramchandani graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey from the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, and completed his obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
